...seems to be something I should have handy in my file, so that whenever the latest disgraced politician or their fanatical backers tells me "it's their private business", I can just remind them that it's nothing personal to them, just a good solid overall policy for liars.
To Whom It May Concern:
If your private peccidillo had been kept private, it would be a private affair. To ask intelligent, freedom and liberty loving Americans to purposely ignore the indiscretions you have thrust into our lives, to not expect us to make a personal decision as to what we think, to not expect us to voice that decision to you and your PR flacks doing "damage control", is ignorant.
You people that run for public office do so as OUR REPRESENTATIVES. You do not have the luxury of living like dirtbags while REPRESENTING ME, and taking my money to do so.
Had I not known, I would willingly have remained ignorant. I am not out investigating your personal lives, because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven unworthy of my trust.
You, and any other public servants out there like you, do not represent me. When found out, you will find that those you claim to represent have every right to say "NO, WE DO NOT TRUST YOU WITH OUR BUSINESS! WE ARE EMBARRASSED BY YOUR REPRESENTATION"!
Go away.
