A Minn. lawmaker, Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann, has said she will only answer one question on the census. To her and all the others waking up to the abuse of the census, and how it has been bastardized into an out and out interrogation over the years, I say, "Welcome to the fight". I have only answered the one constitutionally legal question for the last three censi. I answered all other questions, "None of your damn business", NA, or "refuse to answer because you only want this information to discriminate". I argued at my door with a worker and then the supervisor, telling them to stick their threats, and begged them to charge me, to no avail.
DO NOT ANSWER ANYTHING BUT HOW MANY LIVE IN THE HOUSE. UNDER THE CENSUS, NOTHING ELSE IS LEGAL.
They may claim different, but just because they make illegal rules, like trying to change the census into something it never was, doesn't mean we have to play. I will never answer, or give them a dime.
If they want to interrogate me for information they are using against me, read me my rights.
