...and he thinks we are too stupid to know. I am not, and here is my answer to his "war profitteering" and lies.
Mr. Pickens, because I know you are not stupid, the only other choice is that you are lying to the American public, while you attempt to reach into our pockets and rob our money.
You talk about a "transfer of wealth" in our oil dealings. You know there is no such thing. A transfer of wealth would be giving money away with no return. You know better than that. The amount of money we, the capitalist Americans, make off of oil, dwarfs the amount we pay for it.
We don't pay for it and throw it away. Our businesses use it to employ people, people use it to make money at work. How much tax money, not to mention profit, do we pay to the government off of that money? Billions and billions, enough that we give away a fortune to other countries that need aid, (BTW, THAT is a transfer of wealth. Another example is the U.N.). Money paid with no return.
If I buy food from my grocer, I get a product in return that I feel is worth that money. Same with oil. I make my business profitable with oil. I make more than I spend on oil. Where is the transfer of wealth? It is the opposite of what you state in your moronic, lying commercials.
A transfer of wealth is the "war profittering" you are trying to do, by investing all your money, (made with oil, by the way) in an unproven scheme that depends on stealing my money to maybe get it to work. If you are so sure about wind power, use your own damn money, and private investors like "NO drilling because I invested with Pickens" Pelosi. Give up on government subsidies to make you richer than you are.
You are a disgrace, using our current situation to enrich yourself. In the past, people were shot for working against the interests of their country.
Keep your hand out of my pocket, shut your mouth and go count your money.
